NEW EPISODE DROPS EVERY THURSDAY

A Jingle Bell Mingle by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone

Smut is a genre I have never tapped into. However, when I asked the gal at Barnes & Noble for a holiday recommendation, she insisted I give this one a shot. Ummmm… this is basically Hallmark Channel porn in book form. But it’s so ridiculous and entertaining that I’ve decided to stick with it. ’Tis the season for some festive filth, I guess.

Hi Love Backpack and Convertible Sling.

I spotted this backpack at the One of a Kind Show last year and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. It’s the perfect size for outings with Luna, water-resistant, and actually stylish. Plus, it can be worn as a backpack or a sling. Great for travel, running errands, and everyday chaos.

Tuscan Farro Soup Recipe from the NYT.

I happened to have all of the ingredients for this extra-cozy, super easy, healthy soup. As usual, the NYT comment section came through with great suggestions — add a parmesan rind and use canned beans if you’re in a pinch.

My pro tip: make sourdough garlic bread under the broiler to go alongside this bowl of cozy. I toast a slice for 3–4 minutes, then rub raw garlic on it and swipe on a little butter. Hits. The. Spot.

RoC Retino Eye Cream.

I’ve shared this before and I’m sharing it again because it is truly the best eye cream I’ve ever used. In a world where eye cream can be absurdly expensive, this one is super reasonable, a little goes a long way, and it works. Winter skin is no joke, but worry not — this cream will keep you bright, moisturized, and looking alive.

Task. (HBO)

I’ve been hearing about this show for months and we finally started watching it. It’s gritty, it’s intense, it stars Mark Ruffalo — I cannot look away. We’ve been needing a show to hunker down and binge… mission accomplished. If you’re into FBI/crime dramas, this one will be right up your alley. It’s good.

The Christmas Guest, by Peter Swanson

love this short novella. It’s a total vibe and gives holiday thriller-meets-English countryside. An American art student accepts her friend’s invitation to spend Christmas at her family’s estate. All is festive until she learns about a young woman who was murdered over the summer — and the two look eerily alike. It’s short and sweet… with a killer twist and a sprinkle of ghost-story energy. SO good.

You Serious, Clark?” Glass

I love these festive glasses from local, woman-owned shop Alice & Wonder. If you're in need of a White Elephant gift, run there immediately — they have everything you need and more. Plus, holiday inventory is currently buy one, get 50% off the second item. A cozy deal for your cozy season.

Stay cozy,

Lauren
