Garcia’s Chicago – I had the pleasure of experiencing this hip new music venue in Chicago’s West Loop and I LOVED it. The seating was cozy, the bars were lined with records, the floors adorned with cool rugs — and the music was so good I didn’t want it to end. Pick a night, make a reservation, and get the booth in the back corner closest to the door. Pro tip: order two rounds of the fresh-cut chips and onion dip and the finest cocktail of your choice. Have a blast.
La Parra (Berwyn) – We’re venturing beyond our La Grange bubble and exploring new restaurants that have been receiving high praise. La Parra did not disappoint. Their menu is eclectic — pizzas, tapas, entrées, and more. We started with the chickpea spread topped with olive oil, garlic, parmesan, and tahini. Then we shared several tapas: patatas bravas, fish tacos, and queso de cabra. Loved it. Will absolutely be back.
Leuchtturm1917 Notebook – I picked this up on one of our stationery field trips. It’s basic in the best way and the perfect size. I am secretly excited to head back to Chicago Stationers for my replacement.
Ugg Rib Knit Slouchy Crew Sock – That fake spring didn’t fool me. My feet are still snug as a bug in a rug in these cozy socks. I grabbed a few pairs at Jayne’s and they absolutely rule. Ugg doesn’t do much that isn’t cozy.
Sorel Roam’n Clog – I can’t remember if I’ve shared these yet, but I love them so much I’m sharing again. These clogs are wildly comfortable and cute with every pair of pants I own. I love them. I love clogs. End of story.
Dr. Melaxin Calcium – I was influenced on TikTok and I’m not ashamed to admit it. All I want in life is the appearance of dew-kissed under-eyes. Mission accomplished.
Somatic Therapy Workbook – The Andersons are in full nervous system regulation bootcamp. I grabbed this to learn, practice, and share with my family. It’s not my favorite (lots of words on a page and my brain no likey that), but it is informative and helpful.
Sunday Somewhere Glasses (West End Vision) – I’m sporting a new pair of specs from West End Vision, and they’re my favorite to date. The color is cool, the shape is different, and they are as cozy as can be. Go check out the frames at West End Vision — they’re unique, hip, and the options are so good.
Stay cozy,
Michelle
